Britney Spears, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan reportedly sought treatment at the hillside compound that created a model for luxe rehab.
MALIBU, CA — The luxe rehab center that hosted Britney Spears, Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan is on the market for $19.95 million.
The property, which formerly housed the celebrity-favored Promises Malibu, but is now leased by another facility, includes three single-family homes with a total of 12 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across 9,300 square feet, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The buyer will need to honor the existing lease, but when it expires, they’ll be able to use the property how they like, according to the Times.
The ocean-view property also includes a tennis court, parking lot and salt water pool.
“This retreat is perfect for a large family for a unique and private living situation or a potential future business i.e. a luxury assisted living facility,” the listing reads. “Utilize as-is, acquire over-the-counter-permits for a cosmetic remodel of your choice or get new Coastal Development permits to totally reimagine this magical space to match your dreams.”
Promises was founded in 1989 by developer Richard Rogg as the area’s first luxury treatment center, offering new model for celebrity recovery. A for-profit enterprise, Promises allowed cellphones and patients could travel off site, the Times reported.
